On Saturday, September 18, chiropractic offices worldwide will be participating in Kids Day America/International™.
Hosted by Dr. Jesse Ross of Ross Family Chiropractic, KDA is a special day dedicated to children’s health, safety and environmental awareness in the community. “Kids Day America is an annual event sponsored nationally by charitable chiropractic care practitioners with the aim of bringing the community together to take a proactive stance in educating children and their parents about health, safety, and the environment,” explains Dr. Jesse Ross.
Thanks to our participating sponsors, last year’s event was an enormous success, reaching over 8,000 people. This year is proving to be an even bigger and better event than last year.
The event is FREE! It begins with a hay ride to the Mary Ader Park and continues throughout the afternoon with balloons, prizes, food, petting zoo, jump castle, slides, reptile exhibits, clowns, fire trucks, double dutch, face painting, dental screenings, information on disease prevention and health promotion, and more! Food and beverages are furnished by area restaurants and are free to the attendees.
These free features are made possible by the generosity of our sponsors. Lead sponsors include City of Charleston County Parks and Recreation and the Pink and Blue Pages.
Kids Day America International affords us the opportunity to come together as a community and take a proactive stance in educating the public about children’s health and safety.
All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the ASCEND Foundation. Kids Day America contributes to ASCEND’s mission to make ending cancer a national priority.
“Participants of KDA will share in connecting those touched by cancer into one voice to make a difference through awareness and education,” says Russ Pritchard, Chairman of the ASCEND Foundation board. The ASCEND Foundation is an extending network partner of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
“We invite everyone to join us at this free, fun-filled event for our community,” says Dr. Ross. “This is a wonderful day for bringing the community together to address the increasing dangers to our children in a family-friendly environment.”
