Marian L. Askins

Marian L. Askins is of counsel to Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and practices in the firm's Charleston office. Her practice is focused in the area of toxic tort litigation and general litigation matters. From 1999-2003, Ms. Askins served as a law clerk for Senior U.S. District Judge Falcon B. Hawkins of South Carolina.

In 1991, Ms. Askins earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law where she was a member of the South Carolina Law Review and the Order of Wig and Robe. She is admitted to practice in South Carolina and Georgia. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of Charleston in 1986.

Ms. Askins was the recipient of the 1993 Claude M. Scarborough Jr. Pro Bono Award, given in recognition of the legal services she provides to the indigent.
