Nick Scandalios
Former President and Founder
Nick was the founder and president of ASCEND and was Annie’s husband for 12 years. In creating ASCEND “Dr. Nick” worked to keep a promise to Annie to really get the word out and to radically change the way cancer is addressed in this country. He owned and operated a successful family chiropractic center in Charleston for 13 years.
Tragically, Nick Scandalios was killed in a car accident in October, 2003. See this article for more information. ASCEND strives to fulfill the mission of cancer education and prevention created by Anne and Nick Scandalios.
