Who We Are: A state-funded program that was established in 1939 to provide cancer treatment to indigent people with cancer.
What We Do: This program provides free outpatient cancer services to South Carolinians who do not have insurance and cannot afford treatment.

| ACS Best Chance Network Provides Cancer Screening for South Carolina Women
|
|
Congress has appropriated funds for the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program since 1991.
Through this appropriation, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) received a $3.1 million annual award from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for women’s cancer screening.
The funding provides breast and cervical cancer screening for women in South Carolina through a prgoram known as the Best Chance Network (BCN).

Regardless of where you receive your health care or what cancer you were diagnosed with, as long as you are over 18 and have clearance from your physician, you can join Dragon Boat Charleston. This is just one step in the path of wellness and fitness, but what a step it is.

The South Carolina Cancer Center offers psychosocial oncology services and programs for adults and children with cancer and their families. These programs may help identify positive ways of dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer or blood disorders.
A variety of support groups, individual services, retreats and educational programs provide resources for recovery and emotional healing. Most of these services are provided free of charge.
