Breast cancer is not an individual woman's disease, it's a societal epidemic. Evidence is mounting that links increasing rates of breast cancer to some of the over 85,000 synthetic chemicals on the market today. We are all put at risk for breast cancer by the daily toxic trespass of chemicals we're exposed to against our will - from plasticizers in our water bottles to flame retardants in our sofas, from pesticides on our fruits and vegetables to toxic vehicle emissions. The State of the Evidence guides us to abide by the precautionary principle to reduce and eliminate our exposure to substances we know or suspect cause harm. It also lays out a six-point plan to help reduce the risk of breast cancer and ultimately end the epidemic.
